The developping of electric and electronic equipement involves the respect of some security reliability contraints. Thoose aspects are gaining importance when it is about medical devices, whether it is for therapy or diagnostic (ECG, imagers, surgical robots… ), for which the patient's safety is at stake. In order to ensure the respect of thoose contraints, a number of european an french standards has been established ( standard 60601-1 for instance). Thoose aspects must be taken into account therefore the first steps of eletromedical devices design because they involve contraints et technological choices. The aim of this class is an awareness to the existence and to the content af thoose standards, illustraded by practical cases.
